I invite you today at Perth Western Australia with Steve Tallis, John McNair and David Minder, three musicians who found my little space page among millions others by magic or coincidence…very quickly the connection was very strong and I wanted to share with you their music around an interview I did with Buzz Bidstrup from the Angels in March 2006 (at the same period than with Rick Brewster ; sorry for the delay but I have hours and hours of recording on the table not still edited; a real pain); this time we spoke about Buzz’ involvement in Jimmy Little Foundation to reduce the aborigines’ health issues in Australia which stay unfortunately still topical and about his debut as drummer in a band at 14.
Next step : Uluru 2007 ! Maybe the first challenge for Meltingworlds ?

Wouahouh!!!! Thanks to John from Perth-Australia, singer and bass guitarist in Open Wound who sent me this morning this fabulous link to the Saints‘ video with Chris Bailey singing « I’m Stranded » at his debut in 1976….as wrote the poster on youtube : « This video cuts short by about 5 seconds at the end but I’m sure any Saints fan will be more than happy with the video anyways ». Hey, the Meltingpod-Saints’ fans : COME ON!!!
I watched during my last holidays a 4 hours film with a lot of interviews from the earliest most famous punk rock bands around the planet « Punk atttitude » by Don Letts with the Sex Pixtols, The Clash, Buzzcocks…a DVD offered by my friend Markus after my Buzzcocks’meeting in the plane flying to Berlin !!…a total pleasure but without mentioning the Saints it was for me a shock and a big deception. The Saints are soooo goood ! Right ?

I invite you for this N°50 ( in fact if I add my Meltingtalks’shows I did 85 PODCASTS !!) to share our Skype conversation about Podcasting from the debut in September 2004 until now, the music we are playing in our podcasts (Mike started the first musical podcast in the world and works for Adam Curry and Podsafe Music Network now, I only am the first woman who started a podcast in France and the female companion to the RnRGS…:)…quickly the conversation became not podsafe : NOT allowed for all ages…:) but the music is 100% Podsafe with The Joykiller‘s song : Ready to Play (can be found on PMN; album : Ready Sexed Go), American Heartbreak’s song : Isolation (album : American Heartbreak) and Lola Spinner‘s song: Forbidden Fruit (album : Shadow; French-English band based in Paris). The Black Halos are touring Europe right now, dont’ miss them ! I spoke with Billy Hopeless the singer at his arrival one month ago to Manny’s house and I plan to see them live next Sunday in Nice, the only date in South of France !! I give you an extract of our conversation (the rest could fall under iTunes’censorship…:) but you can already see some pictures of their show taken by my friend Lars in Sweden.
I played Three sheets to the wind, Third world USA and Studio suffering from their last album « Alive without control ».

I decided to talk about politics and I propose to you a new show today with only revolutionnary songs recorded live in Marseille’s streets March 28 th during the demonstration against the government.

The Angelsband were touring Australia-Queensland these last days and I was with them through Buzz Bidstrup (the Angels’ drummer) ‘s cell phone : I did an interview « backstage » with Rick Brewster, the terribly talentuous Angels’s lead guitarist who never left the band…with a very strong faith in that band (as famous as AC/DC in Australia and in the US) he spoke about his musical evolution during 30 years.
The Angels started in 1976 with the Brewster’s brothers Rick and John (lead guitar and guitar), Doc Neeson on lead vocals, Buzz Bidstrup on drums, Chris Bailey on bass : I played « I ain’t the one » recorded live at Thirsty ear festival in 1980 with this line-up, « Dogs are talking » and « Let the night roll on » released in « Beyond Salvation » in 1990 with Rick Brewster, Doc Neeson, Bob Spencer on guitar, Brent Eccles on drums, Jim Hilbun on bass. Now in 2006, the Angelsband are still touring with the original members back again (Rick with Buzz and Chris but without Doc, John playing guitar and singing the lead vocals) : you can find the song I played « Face the day » in their last album recorded live in Sydney in 2004 and released in 2005.

My podcast first anniversary, I never thought in March 8th 2005 I would record more than one podcast; I tried one and the the addiction came ! Today is the number 40 !! with a lot of friends and listeners who never stopped to give me their support one year long : Thank you, really…some of you are fantastic, a comment posted after each show…so nice !

Last week I met in Cannes Shane Chisholm from Melbourne-Australia one of my first Meltingpod listener : he supported me for a year, commented almost every shows…we never saw each other before…I met him virtually in Automn 2004 on the Rock and Roll geek Show’s message board: we supported both at that time this podcast very seriously ! Now Shane is the co-producer of Michael Butler’s podcast. At Nice airport, Shane tried to take the control of MY show and did an interview of me…!! We spoke about Rock and roll, Australian bands, memory about kangoroo, the music industry and the future of podcasting in the world…I play the Angels with « No Exit, Can’t shake it and Marseilles » recorded live in Melbourne in April 1980…a rarity I got for Christmas from my Angels French Connection !
PS : Shane is sending me the podcast title right now from Oslo-Norway !
