Reduced to the silence for too long weeks because some serious material and financial problems (broken laptop at the end with all the sound stuff inside, including ED KUEPPER‘s interview about this new album !!) I kept to stay alive on my MYSPACE/MELTINGPOD to spread the music I like…check it ! and add Ed’s songs to your page if you have an account there and if you appreciate him !
I’m so sorry about that missed meeting prepared for long months : I’m trying to fix this bad situation as soon as I can.

Thanks to the chicks from WORLDPUNKROCKCHICKSGANG (a group I created on myspace for some gang’s action on the internet) and the boys who played Ed’s songs on their myspace homepage the whole day today; through that way his music was played, saluted and promoted around the world from Sweden, to UK, France and the whole Australia…it was a first test but it’s not bad !
PS : Message from ED : « thats great long live the punkchicksgang ! ».

This video will be included in a DVD released this year but « first a CD launch about The Bon Scott Celebration Concert is set for the weekend commencing Friday 19 October at Metro City Perth. The Party Boys and The Angels will be co-headline on that night. A classic Sunday session will be held at the Claremont Football club on Sunday 21 October at 3.00pm featuring the Angels and support band.
The Party Boys line up for October 19 playing Bon era AC/DC classics and their own hits is:
Kevin Borich – Australia’s greatest rock guitarist!
Buzz Bidstrup – The Angels
Dave Gleeson – Screaming Jets
Alan Lancaster – Status Quo
Randall Waller – Shania Twain Band

Not useful to say I would like to be there…I hope you remember or have to listen to my PODCASTS ABOUT THE BON SCOTT CELEBRATION CONCERT recorded with Buzz Bidstrup organizing that big event and then during the show and rehearsals with his Australian rock stars friends !!!

Singer Chris Bailey and guitarist Ed Kuepper met and bonded over a love of music. The Saints brand of loud rock was shunned, so the group took it upon themselves to record their first single. Within weeks, they were the darlings of the international music press. EMI records in London signed the band – the first time an Australian artist had been approached. The Saints were in London at the epicentre of the punk revolution. I’m always in late with that but I found today a cool link to Meltingpod in an Australian blog about rock : Thanks to Mark from Ausrock ! It’s a pleasure to be connected with the Australian rock bloggers community !! BTW : Check the superbe site Mark created for Heaven a band where Mick Cocks (Tatts’ guitarist) played between 82 and 84.

I said in late because one day I was very proud to find a review about Meltingpod in The Guardian, the famous English newspaper but at the moment to re-post it here, I saw it was written 1 year ago !! The review said something like : Marseille rocker rebel Annie Viglielmo, the self-proclaimed « first lady of French podcasting », at meltingpod.com…yes , self proclaimed because I know I was the first woman to have started a podcast in France, easy…:) now I’m often the first one with my work…try to type « Rose Tattoo interview » (without linking the three words) on Google.com !!! Then the Guardian’s people ???…:)

Chris Bailey and Caspar Wijnberg, Ivor Hay and the horn section, The original Saints with Caspar, Ed Kuepper and Chris Bailey…the both school friends together on stage again (pic Judi Dransfield Kuepper).

The Original Saints played their unique reunion show at the Pig City Queensland Music festival for Bastille Day after a 30 years separation and Meltingpod emotionally was with them in Australia !!
The Saints founders Chris Bailey (vocals), Ed Kuepper (guitar) and Ivor Hay (drums) added to their original line-up Caspar Wijnberg The current Saints‘ bass guitarist and a three piece horn section to give a concert like everybody would have dreamed it after their third and ultime last album Prehistoric Sound in 78…
I was in contact with Ed Kuepper for two months and I lived virtually the preparation of the show; he knew as I was disappointed not to be there like a lot of fans too so he sent me two files recorded during the live show with the agreement to play some short extracts : a DVD could be released around the end of the year and he made me the pleasure to give me a spontaneous interview a few days after the show !!
I hope you will appreciate this delicate atention.

Rose Tattoo live at the Harley Days; Am Reeperbahn, my Nikon’s last pic, the place where my minidisc chose to die (the most luxuous ballroom of Hamburg !!) a few hours earlier the same day…a bloody Bastille Day !

Meltingpod Connection : Wo said « PIG CITY » the first ?
I just read on Brisbane Senator Andrew Bartlett’s blog that somebody answered to me when I asked help to find a sponsorship to come to the Pig City Queensland Music Festival where the Saints are performing.
Andrew Stafford, the man wrote the book « Pig City : From the Saints to Savage Garden » answered to me June 4th !!

Angry Anderson, Rose Tattoo‘s singer with me backstages at Lyon-France during their last European tour : in this second part of the interview Angry is telling us many true stories about his life as musician and songwriter, father and citizen of the world, as a man who kept his anger to fight for more justice. A lucid look about the violence in our society.
I played 1854 from the last album Blood brothers, Assault and Battery (Angry explained the lyrics of this true story), and We can’t be beaten (to learn and sing for the Bastille day : « If ya wanna be in my gang, stand up with me, We’ll start a revolution and make the streets free…!! »).

Rose Tattoo at Lyon-France April 2007 : Angry telling true stories in his songs and with Daï in fusion with their audience !

Angry Anderson, Rose Tattoo‘s singer for me alone in the backstages during 1:30 hour, hey !! I propose to you to listen to our passionated conversation, in three parts around 30 minutes each. In this first part we started with a « family story » speaking about The Easybeats‘ two guitar players, George Young and Harry Vanda and their talentuous work at Albert Production‘s recording studio with Rose Tattoo and the three others very famous Australian bands AC/DC, The Angels and The Choirboys.
Then we spoke with Angry about his work as songwriter and some of his conversations with Bon Scott, the necessity of the tattoos, the reasons of his violence on stage with the band at their debut…
I opened the show with « Man about town » and some some short extracts from « Sleeping away » two songs from their last album « Blood Brothers » and « Scarred for life » for illustrating by moment the interview.
